Peel
House (Bolton)
Peel House (named after 'Sir Robert Peel' the Home
Secretary who founded the Metropolitan Police in 1839) is situated
in Astley Bridge, Bolton and used to be a Police Station as well
as the accommodation for the Police Inspector. It is the main branch
of the business and consists of three lounges for families, four
chapels of rest, a coffin display room, garages, preparation rooms
and our main office. A quarter of a million pound refurbishment
and extension was completed at the end of 2008 to increase the facilities
for both Families and Staff.
